Roads became rivers after a heavy downpour hit Watford.
Hail and torrential rain fell for around 30 minutes during a thunderstorm that began soon after 7pm.
Police issued a warning not to enter flood waters.

Hertfordshire Fire Control tweeted that the firefighters had helped at several properties flooded in the west of the county.

Cars on the A41 had to drive through standing water on the A41 at Leavesden.
There was standing water on many roads throughout the town, and water running down the hill at the junction of Hempstead Road and Courtlands Drive.
The terrible weather caught many people by surprise.
