A glamorous student who ended up with a "kink" in her nose after going under a top plastic surgeon's knife has failed in a High Court quest for compensation.

Mijin Zahir, 27, said she told Harley Street specialist, Shailesh Vadodaria, that she wanted him to give her an "ideal" nose with "perfect symmetry."

She said she didn't like the length or width of her nose, the "hump" on its bridge or its "bulbous tip".

But when she woke up after the July 2010 operation, she said she was horrified to see the results.

Although her nose was still covered in plaster, she said it was "very obviously" not straight and had a kink in one nostril.

Even after Mr Vadodaria of Winchfield Way, Rickmansworth, carried out "revision surgery" in June 2011, she was still dissatisfied.

Miss Zahir, of Boulevard Drive, Colindale, North London, sued the surgeon, saying "the whole ordeal has had an enormous impact on my life".

But Mr Justice Garnham dashed her hopes of winning £35,000 damages when he cleared Mr Vadodaria of negligence on Thursday May 26.

The judge agreed that, after the first operation, the slight "deviation" in Miss Zahir's nose had been "somewhat accentuated".

There was also an indentation, or "kink", in her right nostril - caused by "buckling of the cartilage" - that had not been there before.

But the surgeon had carefully explained to her that the outcome might not meet her expectations.

Mr Vadodaria's lawyers said Miss Zahir was "highly motivated to have surgery" but he warned her in clear terms that "success could never be guaranteed".

Exonerating the surgeon, Mr Justice Garnham decided that Miss Zahir's disappointment could not be blamed on him.

Mr Vadodaria has featured in Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire magazines and various documentaries.
