Three flats could be built above an iconic hardware store in Watford.
The controversial plans for Langley Hardware store in Langley Road have been resubmitted to Watford Borough Council by ACH Planning Ltd.
The new application includes the retention of the shop and conversion of the current residential accommodation into three two bedroom flats.
Ward councillor for the area Mark Hofman said concerns remain regarding the loss of a prominent street scene, privacy and storage of waste bins.
Langley Hardware closed on May 14.
