A school welcomed special guests to celebrate National Armed Forces Day.
The pupils at Little Reddings Primary School, Bushey, were introduced to the work of the Armed Forces in Britain and abroad on June 24.
The children learnt about the history, current operations and what it is like to work as part of the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.
Carly Simmonds, head of the school, said: “It was a fantastic day with wonderful opportunities for children, parents and teachers to celebrate Armed Forces Day together.
“Our forces’ families came together to make the day possible whilst raising money for the charity SSAFA.”
The children aged from six to 11 took part in the activities including formal marching, an assault course and singing the national anthem.
Parents were also invited to watch their children parade around the school playground at the end of the day led by the Queen’s guards.
