Armed police cordoned off a street as they arrested three men in a firearms operation.

Police attended an address in Rosslyn Road, Watford, at 7pm yesterday.

Dom Graham, 39, of Rosslyn Road, looked out of the window when he heard shouting outside unusually early in the evening.

He said: “I saw four police cars who had come up the road and blocked another car.

“About 10 or 12 police officers leapt out and surrounded the car. Two men were taken out and one was on the floor.

“The other guy was pushed up against the wall. I think there was a third who was stopped down the road but not sure whether he was involved.

“The police stopped all the traffic coming up the road. They started searching the men and the cars – they were definitely looking for something.

“It all happened so quickly. Within 20mins everyone was standing around waiting for the suspects to be taken away.

“The whole thing went on for about 45mins to an hour. If anything I was impressed with what happened but did not make me feel nervous.

“This is the first time I have seen anything like this. The police looked like they had it all under control.

“One guy was cuffed and was sat on the floor.

“It looked like they were having some discussion with the police officers and one even smiled. They were not struggling to get away but there were about 10 police with guns pointed at them.”

Three men have been arrested and searches are taking place at the property.
