Barriers will be installed to prevent travellers from pitching up in a popular Watford park.
Oxhey Park has been targeted by travellers three times in six months. In August 20 caravans camped for three days, leaving litter for the council to deal with.
Watford Borough Council have ordered low railing to run around the perimeter of the park after an overwhelming response from a resident survey.

Travellers pitch up in Oxhey Park, Watford.
In order to find the best way to deal with the trespassing travellers, the council provided preventative options in a servey for 490 people, 83 per cent of those supported the low railing.
The railing will stretch along the edge of Eastbury Road and Deacons Hill.
Oxhey’s ward councillors have asked for the railings to be painted green to match the higher railings towards Bushey Arches and will have gaps for pedestrian, pushchair and wheelchair access.
