I am an OAP with severe arthritis in my knees (20 years of playing rugby in my younger days).

I recently obtained a repeat prescription of painkilling tablets from my GP.

However, before going to my chemist, I went to Barclays Bank in the High Street, Abbots Langley, to do some business.

Unfortunately, my prescription must have fallen out of my shirt pocket on my way to the bank, so I lost it.

Several days later, my prescription turned up in the post from someone who had found it, with a short note saying that they had found it on the footpath in Abbots Langley.

Unfortunately, this kind person did not leave a name or address on the note.

Consequently, I would like to express my sincere thanks to this person and hope that he or she reads the Observer.
