It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Or at least it is in one Croxley street, where a house has been decked out in decorations so that Iceland can film their Christmas advert.

With 78 days to go until the merry occasion, the budget food store said they will be filming for the next week in Kenilworth Drive.

Danny Dallas writing on Facebook said: “Iceland has decided to use our house to film their 2016 Christmas advert.

"There will be the inevitable increase in parked cars and vans and the usual high vis brigade out directing traffic.

“I apologise on behalf of my family for any inconvenience caused to neighbours and locals, but my young kids insisted we accept the filming offer due to Santas reindeer being kept in the garden for a couple of days.

“Anyone who has an issue please take it up with Cameron aged nine who was the key decision maker In this whole process.”

The post was met with a positive response from neighbours, with Ellie Kirkman writing: “Yay! That sounds like great fun! Hope your kids enjoy :-)”

Carolyn Pashby added: “Is Peter Andre coming?”

Bosses at Iceland insist they are keeping the full plot of December’s advert tightly – and seasonally – wrapped.
