What a heartless, cruel, politically motivated group of individuals our Lib Dem mayor and Lib Dem councillors are, with their decision to go ahead and close two adventure playgrounds in Leggatts Way and Vicarage Road, and also the sacking of the 19 staff that supervise the playgrounds.
With these two playgrounds being located in traditionally held Labour areas our mayor and her Lib Dem councillors are playing politics at the expense of young children.
They also play politics at the expense of ratepayers with the frittering away of £1.4 million of ratepayers’ money with their decision to close these two playgrounds.
In the report and notes I can’t see any apology from the mayor. So will the mayor apologise to these children please regarding her and her Lib Dem councillors’ comments of they are not in the business of free childcare?
May I remind the mayor she is not running a business but is head of a municipality town with a local self-government that receives ratepayers’ money, including rates from these children’s parents, so therefore our mayor does not provide free childcare.
