A “death defying” zip wire down Mount Snowdon raised over £800 for a taekwondo club.
At the end of September, a team of five students and parents took part in the fundraiser set up to help the BJ Academy in Abbots Langley to buy new equipment and fund the training of underprivileged children.
Stretching for over a mile and going at speeds over 119mph, the zip wire down Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, is the longest and fastest in Europe.
Brima Johnson, the club's grand master, said: “We think £800 is an amazing amount which will certainly help us get our new equipment.”
BJ Academy regularly helps students get to national and international students, such as the National Taekwondo Championships, held on September 24 in London.
They are also planning to take a team to an international competition in February.
