Watford boxer Anthony Joshua has thrown his weight behind a new boutique boxing gym.

The IBF world heavyweight champ is an investing partner in BXR, the members-only fitness facility due to open in the heart of Marylebone in January.

And Joshua is in good company with promoter Eddie Hearn, music star Mark Ronson and Victoria’s Secret models Sara Sampaio and Maryna Linchuk also on the founding committee.

Undefeated AJ, 27, said: “BXR is a passion project for me. I want people to train like I train.

“We have pulled together the best coaches, medical teams and equipment in the business and brought the ring to Chiltern Street in Marylebone.

“I spend the majority of my life in the gym so I know what is required to make a truly great one.

“I was absolutely blown away by the passion and enthusiasm of the BXR team to create a truly unique offering in the heart of London.

“I can’t wait to kick off my London sessions at BXR.”

Members will be paying £150 a month for the members only gym.

Joshua makes the second defence of his IBF title against Eric Molina in Manchester on December 10.
