A number of main roads in the town centre will close for a Muslim parade on Sunday.

Worshippers from the Central Watford Mosque will be celebrating Prophet Mohammed’s birthday by holding a Milad Parade throughout the town.

A number of main roads will be closed as the procession makes it way through the town.

Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed the road closures are rolling and will reopen as soon as the procession has passed.

The roads that will be affected are Cambridge Road, Granville Road, King Street, High Street, Clarendon Road, St Albans Road, Leavesden Road and Longspring.

The procession will start at 10am and finish at 2pm. The roads will only be closed as the procession moves along.
