Watford Borough Council has passed its own plans to construct a new two-storey industrial building on the site of former low-grade units of a similar use.

As landowner of the wider Watford Business Park site on Caxton Way, the council is promoting phased redevelopment of facilities to “promote employment in the borough”.

The 2,800m2 brownfield site will consist of four light industrial units, with an ancillary office and around 20 on-site parking spaces.

The council says the development will act “as a catalyst for future development across the estate” with a “robust contemporary aesthetic”.

The plans were passed by the council’s development management committee on Wednesday evening.
