After a bright, sunny weekend which seemed to herald the arrival of spring, forecasters are predicting a drastic change by the end of the week.
Gale force winds of up to 50mph and heavy downpours are expected to blight south west Hertfordshire from Thursday, drawing to a close the unseasonably warm conditions we have been experiencing recently.
The Met Office said weather warnings could possibly be issued over the coming days.
Sadly it will bring an end to several days of temperatures reaching the mid-teens – much warmer than average for this time of year.
