Police were called to Watford Junction station following reports that a man was carrying a knife on a train.
British Transport Police (BTP) attended just after 7pm yesterday, but found that the man was not armed.
Matt Woodhouse, speaking on behalf of BTP, said: “While the call was made in good faith, it turned out the man did not have a weapon on him and we will not be investigating the matter any further.”
