A man has been left with bruising to the brain after two thugs attacked him with a pint glass.

The victim, aged in his 40s, was walking along Fairfield Avenue in South Oxhey at around 12.45am, on Sunday.

The man fell to the ground after being struck with the glass, where both offenders repeatedly kicked him.

The attackers ran off towards The Centre, in Gosforth Lane, and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspects are described as white men in their late teens to early 20s. One was wearing a red tracksuit and the other was wearing dark clothing.

Detective Sergeant Robert Muir, from the Three Rivers Local Crime Unit, said: “Thankfully the victim’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening but he has understandably been left shaken by what happened.”

Anyone with information should call Hertfordshire Constabulary on 101.
