What’s in a name? Well in the case of the eponymous project to transform land around Watford General Hospital, quite a lot.

The reality now is that the residential aspects of the scheme are progressing swiftly, as is the industrial “Trade City”, while no final plans for the hospital have even been decided yet, let alone set in motion.
With the announcement that the Health Campus rebranded as the serene-sounding “Riverwell Watford”, tangible traces of those past promises of a new and improved hospital are fast becoming diluted.
The hospital trust must act quickly or allow its plans be washed over by the Riverwell tide.
