A council made up of primary school children toured the chambers and corridors of Parliament thanks to their guide Richard Harrington.
The Watford MP welcomed the school council pupils from Abbots Langley Primary School for a question and answer session and a tour on Monday, March 20.
During their visit they learned about Westminster Hall, Central Lobby, the House of Lords, and the House of Commons.
The students then had lunch with Mr Harrington and had the opportunity to grill him, asking questions on a number of topics ranging from nuclear defence to Brexit.
Mr Harrington said: “I have to say the students were brilliant and very well behaved; a real credit to their families.
“I think it’s so important to engage young people with politics and, for me, getting them to come to Parliament and see the home of our democracy is a great way to do just that.”
