A teenage boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Watford this morning.
An ambulance crew was called to St Albans Road at around 9am to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
The boy suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel by air ambulance.
His condition has been described as “life threatening”.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the collision.
A black Vauxhall Corsa was travelling along the St Albans Road towards Rickmansworth. As it approached the underpass which goes under the Town Hall Roundabout it collided with a 16-year-old boy.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision to contact them as soon as possible by calling the non-emergency number - 101.
There were no other injuries reported.
