Sunny weather graced the Good Friday Christian Walk of Witness last week.
Organised by the Christians Across Watford group, the walk involves trekking through the town centre with placards asking the question “why good Friday?”
Finishing up in the intu centre, the group then put on a small presentation explaining the meaning of Easter.
“It ends up with the message that Easter doesn’t finish on Good Friday,” said Reverend Ian Pankhurst, of St Andrew’s Church.
Rev Pankhurst, who has organised the walk for the last few years, said he was pleased with the turnout for the event.
“There was lots of interest – we handed out all of our leaflets,” he added.
“I think the people of Watford are quite receptive to spiritual messages. The walk has maintained a good level of commitment across Watford.”
