If you were a fan of Gino’s Italian Escape on ITV, you will be happy to know Gino D’Acampo is bringing his passion and flair for Italian cookery to live audiences tonight at the Watford Colosseum.

The event will draw Watford’s Big Wordfest to a close after almost two months of writing, drawing, playing and performing all over Watford.

The live stage show promises signature recipes from all corners of his Italy, blended with his notorious and irrepressible humour, with audience participation and hints of surprises along the way.

Alongside Gino’s ITV show he has regular appearances on This Morning and has published several books, including Fantastico!, The Italian Diet and A Taste of the Sun.

Commenting on the tour, Gino said: “I am very excited and can’t wait to get out there and share some fantastic food and cooking tips from my home country. It’s going to be Gino - Live and unleashed.”

Throughout the show he will demonstrate how to cook some of his favourite dishes from his Italian Escape series – with a high possibility of some lucky audience members being invited to join him on stage.

In the hours leading up the show there will be #LobbyLive at the Colosseum, from 6pm, for a free spoken word and poetry reading session featuring musician and poet, Stephen Patmore, cooking up some food for thought ahead of Gino’s live show. Stephen will take audience members on a journey from dark to light bringing an “alternative flavour to the cookery mood”.

Saturday Stories will be the final event, taking place the following day, Saturday, April 29, at the North Watford Library.
