Vandals are targeting cars overnight in Abbots Langley.

Since April 18 there have been 15 incidents reported to police, and items taken included power tools and computer equipment.

PC Dan Jones from the Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We are doing everything we can to tackle this type of crime but we also need members of the public to help us by ensuring they are keeping their vehicles as secure as possible.

"It sounds obvious but, make sure that all doors and windows are fully locked and secured before leaving them unattended.

“Items such as sat navs, laptops, loose change and sunglasses should be removed from inside, even from the glove box and boot. It takes just seconds for an opportunist thief to break in and steal your valuables. Further crime prevention advice is available on the Herts police website.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101.
