Roger Moore popped in to sign autographs for fans at the opening of a television shop in South Oxhey back in 1965.
Although eight years before his big screen bow as Bond in Live and Let Die, the suave leading man was already famous for his in The Saint – filmed at Elstree Studios.

His star status was seized upon by excited children who rallied round him to get an autograph.
Sir Roger died on Tuesday following a “short but brave” battle with cancer, his family said.
