Summer may finally be on the horizon as south west Hertfordshire is set to bask in glorious sunshine for the rest of this week.
The Met Office has predicted temperatures reaching 24C by midweek, with the warm weather expected to last well into the weekend.
There will be a risk of thunderstorms overnight on Wednesday to break up the hot and humid conditions but sunny spells will become more and more frequent as we near the end of the week.
The upcoming weekend is also set to be warm and dry, continuing the fine conditions we experienced on Saturday and Sunday.
