Two lanes on the M1 are closed after an accident and lorry on fire.
The northbound M1 at junction 6A for the M25 is closed to junction 7 after an accident in the area.
Herts Police were called at 3.53pm after a lorry was on fire, which it seems was as a result of a multiple vehicle crash.
All drivers and passengers involved are out of the cars and suffering only minor injuries, and East of England ambulance service are at the scene.
The whole road was initially closed but two lanes have now been open to help traffic flow through.
Herts Fire are advising drivers to avoid the area as there are long delays and the lanes are expeted to remain closed until at least 6pm while the fire is put out and debris is cleared off the road.
