You can experience a little bit of Germany in Watford as Oktoberfest is set to come to the town.
For those who don’t know, Oktoberfest is a traditional event which takes place in the country each October.
It is hugely popular and has spread across the world. The events specialise in beer and food.
Visitors to Oktoberfest will find a giant outdoors beer garden where they can enjoy a two-pint beer from a stein.
Where is it?
Watford Oktoberfest is taking place at the West Herts Sports Ground between Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21.
The festival will be open at the following times:
- Friday – 6pm to 11pm
- Saturday – 12pm - 5pm
To get into the party spirit there will be live music performances while all staff will be dressed in traditional Bavarian costume - lederhosen for men and dirndl for women.
