A suspect is wanted in connection with assaulting a police officer among other offences.

Roger Simpson, 44, is said to have run off after left an officer with minor injuries when they attempted to arrest him at Aldenham Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.

It is believed that he is sleeping rough and is known to frequent the golf course, but his last known address was in Halsey Place, Watford.

Mr Simpson is wanted in connection with a theft from a vehicle and a series of burglaries that happened between March and May this year.

He is believed to have connections to areas of Bushey and Watford, particularly the Meriden Estate and North Watford.

A laptop was stolen from Chorleywood Primary School, Stag Lane on the night of Wednesday, March 22.

A home in Little Bushey Lane, Watford was broken into and ransacked by offenders before they left with items on Friday, March 31.

On Thursday, April 27 a car parked at Abbots Hill School, Bunkers Lane, Hemel Hempstead was broken into and a handbag was taken from it.

The changing rooms at Killigrew Infants School in East Close, St Albans were broken into and a cabinet was dragged outside and toys from the children’s playground were moved and knocked over.
