A number of caravans and other vehicles arrived in the King George V Playing Fields in Watford on Friday.

They were removed over the course of the weekend, only to pitch up close by – at the North Watford Playing Fields.

And it appears they left a huge mess in their stead, with piles of fly-tipped waste discovered in the picturesque woodland behind the playing fields by a dog walker.

Cllr Asif Khan urged Watford Borough Council to take more preventative action to stop a repeat occurrence in the future.

The council has been contacted for comment.
