A GIFTED young musician has been accepted to study specialist school following a successful audition.

Rebecca Nicolas, 10, from Bushey, was successful with her audition to The Purcell School in Aldenham Road.

She has been playsthe violin and has made dramatic progress since she started playing in 2014.

Rebecca has been taking weekly violin lessons alongside drama and dance classes at The Dan Tien Performing Arts School, Watford.

The Dan Tien’s Head of Music Amy Lazzerini, said: “We’re all very proud of Rebecca’s fantastic achievement. She works extremely hard in all her classes and has a real passion for music. Her hard work has really paid off."

The Purcell School is the oldest specialist music school in Britain set up in 1961 and moving to Bushey in 1997.
