A woman has been banned from two supermarkets for two years and fined nearly £500 following “persistent” shoplifting.
Geraldine Walsh, of Tudor Way, was convicted of five offences at Hatfield Remand Court on July 20 and ordered to pay £403 in fines and costs.
The 25-year-old was also given a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order, which will prevent her from entering Tesco in Tudor Place, Berry Lane, Rickmansworth and the Co-op in New Road, Croxley Green.
If she does not comply with the order, she could be sent to prison.
Community Safety sergeant Luke Mitchell said: “This individual is a persistent offender whose actions have had a hugely detrimental effect on the local business community. I hope this order will deter her from further offending.
“Shoplifting will not be tolerated in the district and we will do everything in our power to bring offenders to justice.”
