Staff at a family friendly country park have confirmed a late-night rave will not be taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend.
A post on the Sun Dance 2 Facebook page was promoting a night of garage, rave and house music running until around 3.00am on Bank Holiday Monday morning at Aldenham Country Park.
However, David Martin, the operations director at the park, says there were never any plans to hold the event at the 175-acre parkland and woodland, as the park is aimed at children.
He said: “I can confirm there is no rave party taking place at Aldenham Country Park. We will e continuing as normal as a children’s park.
“The children have been looking forward to coming here as there’s a farm with animals, as well as a Winnie The Pooh trail.”
The rave was originally going to be held at Watford Cricket Club, in Horseshoe Lane, but this was cancelled over fears neighbours could be disturbed.
The post promoting Aldenham Country Park has now been removed from Facebook.
