Travellers have pitched up at Radlett Road Playing Fields – the second such incursion in as many weeks.

It is believed they are not the same group as before though, meaning a new removal order will need to be obtained before they can be ejected from the site.

Cllr Stephen Giles-Medhurst reported this morning (Thursday) that around eight caravans had arrived near the games area.

He said: “We understand residents’ concerns and frustrations given the previous encampment last week but the council has to follow the proper legal processes and we are acting as quickly as possible.”
