Police investigating the theft of a motorcycle in Rickmansworth are appealing for witnesses and information.
The red Yamaha WBR125, registration ET14 AYE, was stolen from the High Street shortly after midnight on September 5.
PCSO Alan Waller from the Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the bike being taken, or perhaps witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, to please come forward.
“We have seen a rise in the number of motorcycles being stolen in recent months and I would like to take this opportunity to advise people to review the security of their vehicles.
“I appreciate it can be difficult but, we would always advise people to keep motorcycles out of view wherever possible, for example stored in a secure garage or shed.
“Always try and lock your vehicle to something secure, such as ground loops, fit an alarm and try and park where there is CCTV. Further advice is available on the crime prevention section of the Herts Police website.”
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Rickmansworth Safer Neighbourhood Team via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C2/17/2761.
