A major Watford through route has been closed after a pedestrian was hit by a car this afternoon.
Police were called just after 3.30pm today to reports of a collision between a black Hyundai i10 and a pedestrian in Vicarage Road.
One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Officers remain at the scene.
The road is currently closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area at this time.
