Watford-based charity Peace Hospice Care has announced its new chairman.

Patrick Brennan took over as the chairman of trustees on September 5.

Mr Brennan, who has been a trustee for the charity since 2009, will be replacing David Ellis OBE.

Mr Brennan said: “I would like to thank David for his outstanding contribution and the support he has given to Peace Hospice Care.

“The charity has faced challenging times in the past but David’s leadership has set the charity on a positive and confident path.

“We will continue his good work and strive in reaching out to the community, helping many more people and maintaining the outstanding standards of care for which we are known.”

Mr Brennan has worked in banking and financial services for more than 30 years. He has also chaired the Hertford and Ware Business Advisory Group, run in conjunction with the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce.
