Hundreds of people gathered for a park’s annual obstacle course event to raise money for a hospice.

More than 900 competitors took part in Push It for the Peace at Cassiobury Park, in Watford, on Saturday September 23.

Teams waded through foam, fought off large inflatable balls, ran across an inflatable moonwalk and dunked themselves in a skip of water in support of Peace Hospice.

As well as individuals, a number of businesses and organisations entered teams into the event, including Mane Contract Services, SA Law, Tate SDC, Bugler Group, Camelot, Aitchison Raffety, Activ8, Landmark Chartered Accountants, Mercer & Hole and Unico Recruitment.

Emma Sullivan, from Mane Contract Services, who entered a team of 8 in the event, said: “It was muddy, soggy and slippery but all great fun – our team loved taking part in Push It.

“It was a fantastic opportunity for them to get together and it’s even better knowing that our efforts will help support a charity that touches so many lives and makes such a huge impact in the local community.”

Lisa Rowland, events manager at Peace Hospice Care, said: “We are thrilled that the new location and course has been such a success. Well done to everyone who took part.

“We’re very grateful to Porcelanosa who were our headline sponsors and also to Veale Wasbrough Vizards for their support.

“ Our events help us to raise vital funds and every penny really does make a difference so we can continue to provide free services to those with life-limiting illnesses in our community. ”
