The Watford head coach is confident Richarlison can “achieve fantastic things in his career” if he is given the right support.

The Hornets’ summer signing from Brazil once again took the headlines after scoring an injury-time goal for the second Saturday running; securing a 2-2 draw at West Bromwich Albion this afternoon a week after netting a late winner in the 2-1 success at Swansea City.

The 20-year-old’s talent is becoming increasingly evident to the wider football world, but Marco Silva was full of praise for his work ethic and never-say-die attitude.

The Hornets boss said: “He’s a worker and every day he comes to the training session to improve and to learn and a boy I believe in a lot. He’s an amazing talent but today was a tough afternoon for him. He suffered a lot and we knew before when they put (Craig) Dawson as a right-back he would have good aggression, but the boy never gave up.

“We believe a lot in him but we need to support him every day to improve because I am sure he will achieve fantastic things in his career.”
