Candidates are preparing for a tight battle in tonight’s Three Rivers by-election.
The election for the Oxhey Hall and Hayling ward follows the shock resignation of Conservative councillor Ty Harris in August.
All five major parties are putting candidates forward at the election. These are: Roy Clements (Conservative), Matthew Jones (Green), Keith Martin (Lib Dem), Michael Matthewson (UKIP), and Brendan O’Brien (Labour).
Three Rivers District Council is currently made up of 20 Liberal Democrat councillors, 15 Conservative, and three Labour.
