There were long delays on the M1 this morning due to two cars being involved in a crash.
All lanes have been now re-opened on the M1 London bound at J5 A41 North Western Avenue A4008 Stephenson Way, near Watford.
However, congestion is leading up to J6a on the M25.
Traffic was held while police tried to recover the car but were unsuccessful.
The other car has pulled onto the hard shoulder.
It is not yet known whether there are any injuries.
