A NURSERY has opened its doors of its brand new classrooms.

Edge Grove primary school in Radlett welcomed three-and four-year old pupils to its new pre-school last month.

The facilities include a science kitchen designed for the height of a three-year-old, with hobs, fridges and science equipment as well as lab equipment, a computer suite and a construction area.

The nursery will have weekly visits from specialist French and music teachers from the main Edge Grove site next door, and the forest class will teach kids about nature.

Ben Evans, Headmaster at Edge Grove School commented on the new building: “We are very proud of our new Pre-School which also has a fantastic Creative Zone; with a splash of bright red, this area is full of resources for art, craft and learning. Horseshoe shaped tables allow the teachers to work with small groups and also in collaborative learning. A large walled area has also been incorporated for the children to mark-make and draw to their hearts content and it is wonderful to see them enjoying these special new features.”
