Garston Ladies’ Second XI’s winning start to the season came to an end on Sunday as the class gap told against Stevenage in the County Cup.
The holders, who play four divisions above the Purples, hit five unanswered goals in the first half. Amy Robb scored her first senior goal but Garston were outplayed as the visitors eased to a 14-1 win.
The Under-15 Tigers continued their excellent form with a 11-0 win at home to Bengeo Tigers.
Charlotte Rice and Georgia Rosenberg both hit hat-tricks and there were also goals from Niamh Arnold, Bridget Hogg, Natasha Marsh and Katherine Fairs.
The Under-14 Leopards battled their way to victory against a strong Borehamwood 2000 side, running out 2-1 winners thanks to an early brace from Emily Rollinger.
Their club-mates, the Under-13 Tigers, also came out on top in a high-scoring encounter, beating Harvesters 6-2, thanks to hat-tricks from both Jessie Dyson and Millie Tugby.
The Under-12 Wildcats won 6-0 against Royston Town as Abby Bartley, Olivia Cole, Gabrielle Spillman and Shannon Wells all found the back of the net.
