Accident leads to heavy traffic on M1
Heavy traffic is expected from J6 northbound on the M1 after an accident further up the motorway.
A crash between J8 and J9 northbound forced two of four lanes to be closed.
Highways England said normal traffic conditions will resume there no earlier than 7.15pm.
The resulting congestion is backed up to J6 as rush hour traffic exacerbates the problem.
