People are being asked for their opinions on suitable Brownfield sites for new housing developments to be built.

Dacorum Borough Council launched its consultation period for its Local Plan today (Wednesday, November 1).

It will also be carrying out a Call for Sites for people to identify any previously developed land or buildings they think has the potential to be used for housing in the future.

The first stage of this process is the preparation of an Issues and Options document which looks at the challenges the borough is facing to 2036 and how these could be addressed.

The consultation will close on Wednesday, December 13.

Cllr Graham Sutton, who represents Planning and Regeneration said: "I urge people to have their say so we can look at finding positive solutions for the growth needed to provide new homes for future generations whilst protecting the countryside."

People can complete the site submission form by visiting www.dacorum.gov.uk/consultation.
