An MP has called for improvements to busy road junctions.
Watford MP Richard Harrington has responded to Hertfordshire County Council's local transport plan consultation (LP4) , saying work needs to be done to ease congestion in Watford's busiest junctions.
Mr Harrington backed the plans to improve train and bus services, as well as a move to improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions.
He suggested a "three pronged approach" which will deliver on infrastructure, bring improvements to road networks but also encourage people to use public transport.
He said: "I am supportive of the county council's work so far, and welcome the opportunity to feedback.
"I believe we need a three pronged approach here. As part of that, I want to see major improvements to some of our busiest junctions.
"To ease congestion locally, we need to re-think Bushey Arches and the Dome Roundabout, and I have made suggestion for both, including a review of the traffic light phasing (which is now underway), utilising the surrounding land differently and possible road widening."
He urged residents to take part in the consultation, which is available online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/ltp4
