AN ice skating rink is back in the town centre for a fourth year.

The rink will open in Watford Town Centre and people will be able to skate until January 14.

Last year thousands took to the ice for The Big Skate, part of Watford Borough Council’s Big Events series.

Held once again at The Parade, an outdoor rink measuring 15 metres by 25 metres and made up of 40,000 litres of frozen water will provide a slippery service from November 25 to January 14.

The Birmingham Freestyle Skaters will be back opening the event, performing on the ice and providing tips to skaters.

A viewing area and bar serving festive food and drinks will surround the rink along with a host of twinkling Christmas tree and fairy lights.

For more information, opening times and to book your tickets, visit www.watfordbigevents.co.uk.

Entrance is £8.50 for adults, £6.50 for children and £25 for a family of four. The minimum skating age is four.
