A 34-year-old man has been arrested after a car smashed through the front window of a convenience store in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Co-op in New Road, in Croxley Green, at 5.06am.
Fire crews extinguished a small fire at the back of a silver Vauxhall Zafira which had crashed into the shop.
No-one was injured during the incident.
A man of no fixed address was arrested by officers shortly afterwards on suspicion of arson.
He remains in police custody at this time.
Police say this is being treated as an isolated incident and is not currently being linked to an earlier arson incident, which occurred at the Co-op store at around 2.30am on Friday, December 8.
Anyone with any information about the crash can call police on 101, quoting crime ref C2/17/3783.
