Bushey Heath will hold its first ever Christmas celebrations this week.
The village will hold its Christmas lights switch on Thursday.
It has been organised and supported by Hertsmere Park Division, who helped supply the tree and borough councillors Brenda Batten, Paul Morris, and Seamus Quilty.
The festivities will also include the lighting of Hannukah candles, a performance by the North London Military Wives Choir and plenty of activities for children.
The lights will be switched on by Bushey Heath’s very own Santa Claus, whilst Mayor of Hertsmere, Cllr Charles Goldstein will also be attending, alongside Rabbi Elchonon Feldman and Father Andrew Burton of St Peter’s church.
The free event will take place at Mary Forsdyke Gardens on High Road at 5pm. People will only be able to enter via High Road next to St Peter’s car park.
