A photo competition deadline has been extended.

The Rotary Club of Watford's Young Photographer Competition has now extended its deadline to February 10, meaning budding photographers can still enter their pictures.

The theme for this year's competition is "A Different Perspective" and entrants are asked to produce a portfolio of three photographs - in colour or black and white, and on photographic paper.

The competition has three stages: local heats organised by the Watford Rotary group, a district and finally the national final, with only the winners moving from one heat to the next.

Individuals and groups, such as youth organisations, Scouts, Girl Guides and schools and colleges are invited to enter images, and the competition is divided into three age groups: seven-10 years, 11-13 years and 14-17 years.

Each print should be no larger than A4 including the mount, and mobile phones are allowed.
