A man who was found to have a number of indecent images on his phone was given a suspended jail sentence.

Dawid Cullis, 23, of The Harebreaks in Watford, had been arrested in August 2016 by police on an entirely unrelated matter.

But when his mobile phone was seized and examined, police found a number of indecent images and movie clips.

Cullus appeared for sentence at St Albans crown court on Monday, January 29, where he admitted distributing indecent photos of children and three offences of making indecent photos of children.

The court was told Cullus had no previous convictions.

He was given a 21 month jail sentence which was suspended for two years.

He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for five years and his name will go on the sex offences register for the next 10 years.
