Watford are not pinning hope on adding to their striking ranks even if they manage to send unwanted forward Stefano Okaka out on loan - with the forward reportedly on his way to Turkey to join Galatasaray.

The Watford Observer understands the Hornets would look to add to their forward line, but do not see the idea of three first-team forwards as critical to their Premier League hopes.

It would leave fringe player Jerome Sinclair as their only option beyond Troy Deeney and Andre Gray in attack, and the side woefully short of options if they choose to play two up front, as has been called for in recent weeks.

This would not be the first time the season the Hornets have been left short, however.

At the end of the summer transfer window, then head coach Marco Silva spoke out against the "dangerous" decision to loan Nordin Amrabat to Leganes for the season, with only Richarlison, Andre Carrillo and out-of-favour Isaac Success as his wide options.

Listing two senior strikers in their squad would help Watford fit their large roster into the maximum 25-man list required by the Premier League, but they would still need another player to miss out to accommodate both Gerard Deulofeu and Didier Ndong.
